In this independent project, I aimed to shift graphic design away from institutions and over to members of the public. The project centres around a conventional font with experimental alternate characters, creating a multiplicity of voices that represents the effect of collective action. The alternate characters were designed using the various modular shapes in the stencil included with the type specimen, which can be used to design more characters and add more voices. This design system encourages the user to engage with activist practices and to consider the ways in which graphic design can be used for good.
